The Challenge
St Bonaventure’s existing CCTV system was outdated, increasingly unreliable and no longer fit for purpose. Equipment was obsolete and beginning to fail, the system had no capacity for future expansion, and remote viewing relied on the school’s internal IT network – creating both security and performance risks.
The school needed a robust, scalable CCTV system that would meet modern safeguarding and education security standards, installed without disrupting teaching.
Our Solution
Following a detailed site survey, we designed a bespoke IP CCTV system for the demands of a busy secondary school.
Working in partnership with TOA Electronics, we delivered a first-of-its-kind CCTV solution in the education sector:
- Over 100 high-definition IP cameras covering internal areas and the full external perimeter
- A dedicated CCTV network, completely separate from the school’s IT infrastructure, for better stability, reliability and cybersecurity
- A dedicated Network Video Recorder (NVR) providing high-quality recording and a platform ready for future expansion
Installation & Delivery
To avoid any disruption to pupils and staff, all works were scheduled during the summer holidays. Our in-house engineers completed the installation, testing, commissioning and handover within six weeks, so the school was fully protected before the start of the new academic year.
